The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
290 pages in the book
4stars
Tom Sawyer could possibly be the best book I’ve ever read, it was amazing. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is mostly about a boy and his friend that make up all these scemes to get money and get out of school. One of their plans is to be pirates. So the boys, Tom and Huckleberry Finn find a raft and sail it to an island. They are there for a couple weeks and people in their town think that they drowned. Everyone thinks they drowned because someone finds a raft (the boys only used the raft to get to the island they didn’t keep it, so it was found) and guesses that the boys drown. That was part of Tom’s plan. The next part was they would take the farry boat back to town, and show up at their funeral. That was only one part of my now favorite book. They have other adventuers like getting lost in a cave, but if you want to know what happens you’ll have to read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
The signifagance of the title is the main character is Tom Sawyer and he has adventures.

6. Qestion # four. I have not read anymore books written by F. E. Higgins, but I am hoping that she will write a sequel to “The Black Book of Secrets.” In the end of the book F.E. Higgins said she was looking for another Black Book of Secrets.

1.) How Not to Be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler
2.) 339
3.) Finished
4.) 4
5.) How Not to Be Popular is a hilarious novel because Maggie, the main character, has a plan to be unpopular at her new school in Austin, Texas. She wants to become unpopular because her family moves a lot and she is tired of leaving friends behind. Maggie wears all sorts of weird clothes to school from her father’s (Les) costume store and just acts weird in general. Then, for her college applications, she joins the Helping Hands, a club, relunctantly. Soon she realizes that her plan isn’t working. Hanging out with the “nerds”, Maggie realizes that she does have something to leave behind in Austin, Texas. Friends. Maggie then ditches the Helping Hands and makes a fool of herself in front of the entire school. But she got what she wanted: to become unpopular. Right?
6.) The climax/turning point of How Not to Be Popular is the Halloween dance that the Helping Hands hosts. There, Maggie realizes that her plan isn’t working, she made friends with the Helping Hands. So she backstabs her friends, the Helping Hands, for the popular group, where she is sure that she won’t be sad to leave anyone behind when she moves from Austin.

The Hunger Games
I don’t know the exact number of pages but it’s about 200-300.
A definate four star book.
The book is set in the future after North America fell into ruins. It’s about this girl named Katniss who take her sister’s place in a competition set in place by the government. Inthis cometition, they put 24 kids (one boy and one girl from each district) from 12 to 18 in an area for a fight to the death. The book is about what trouble Katniss faces during this fight to the death.
The cover of the American book is related to the book because it has a bird (a mocking jay to be precise) in a gold ring. It represents the pin that Madge gave Katniss. On the British version, so I’m told, there is a picture of Peeta and Katniss.
This is a such a great book because it has a little something for everyone. Some people enjoy romance and there is some of that. There are also those who like carnage and violence. There is some of that too. The Hunger Games is a great book that everyone will love.
P.S. Catching Fire (the sequel) is out right now!!

1) The Great Tales And Poems of Edgar Allan Poe
2)433
3)all 433 pages
4)***** 5 star rating (really cool book!)
5) This book is by one of my faovrite poets so let me just quote Mr. Edgar Allan Poe, ”And then it came, as if to my final and irravocable overthrow, the spirit of PERVERSENESS. Of this spirit philosophy takes no account. Yet I am not so sure that my soul lives on, than I am that perverseness is one of the primative pulses of the human heart-one of the indivisable primary faculties, or sentiments, which give direction to the character of man. Who has not, a hundred times, found himself committing a vile or a stupid action, for no other reason than because he knows he should NOT?” – The Black Cat
This book is full of the author’s short stories, poems, and tales. In total there are 55 peices of liderature in this book. From the ”Tell-Tale Heart” to ”The Black cat” to ”Shadow A Perable” Usually he uses himself as the main character. It will keep you at the edge of your seat with the thrills, suspense, and ”bloody murders”! For example, how did he atemped murder twice and not be concered about the police and the bodies?! Well in ”The Tell-Tale Heart” he carefully watches as the man falls asleep to see if his left eye is actually his, or an eye of a VULTURE. It so happens that the STATE OF PERVERSENESS becomes him insted of his soul. So he kills the man with the beat of his heart and puts him under the floorboards of the room. ”With that he can sleep easier tonight.” he thinks. but he starts to hear his heart-beat when the cops are there because the naibhoors heard a scream. The heart-beat gets louder, and louder until it drives him mad and makes him tear the floorboards off to end the story.
